Mary's Art Displayed
Columbia River Gallery in Troutdale, Oregon.Joanne Kollman is seen with an oil portrait of Mary she painted using as reference the banner used at the top of all the pages on this website. She gave the portrait to Mary and her family.
She also made scores of magnets showing Mary's art which were sold at the gallery. People made cash donations to the American Cancer Society as well.
Joanna is an artist and parishioner of of Mary's uncle Fr. John Kerns. She saw Mary's artwork on http://www.marysart.org/ and was very impressed. She spoke with her friend Donna Erwin who owns the Columbia River Gallery. The two of them were touched by Mary's story as well as her talent. Donna offered to professionally mount some of her art and display it in the gallery during Troutdale's annual community festival. You can see Donna has played off Mary's subject matter beautifully. Each frame uniquely reflects each piece of artwork. The next day, the portrait and the framed work was presented to Mary. She loved them all and spent quite a bit of time looking at each one.
